Forms, Copies, & Houston; OH MY!

Last week we had a goal: turn in our visa application to the Spanish Consulate.  This requires taking our application, along with a stackful of other required documents, to Houston.  The consulate has a website, but our main source is someone from Madrid, who also had to send some documents from there.  All documents are ticking from the time they are issued as most documents must be no older than 90 days.  We spent the first part of the week gathering some last minute documents that we were unclear on what was exactly needed.  We arrived at the consulate early Thursday morning only to find out (within the first 90 seconds) that we did not have ALL the documents that we needed.  This was a surprise to us as well as our contact in Spain.  Thankfully, we were able to make a few phone calls and have the documents overnighted to us.  I know many of you were praying for us and we GREATLY appreciate it.  It was definitely a stressful week.  I'd like to especially thank Lauren Scheffy, Kourtney Newman, Dr. Joel McCoy, and Karen Gilstrap for taking those extra steps to help us pull all the paperwork together.

We have now been able to speak at two churches.  Your love, kindness, and generosity has not ceased to amaze me.  Thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts, for your support.  We look forward to seeing our friends in Fort Worth (eek! Sammy's getting married) next week and then to Woodridge for our last Sunday "home" before we head to Richmond.
