Back in Louisiana

Well, we have successfully completed our eight week orientation in Virginia.  We had such an incredible time and learned so much.  Even better, me met some of the most amazing men, women, and children--and now they are our friends.  It has been such an encouragement being surrounded by like-minded peoples.
Yesterday, we left had an early (up at 3am) flight to DFW and then on to Shreveport.  Our truck was waiting for us (thank you, Jerry) and we had scheduled me & Victor a long overdue dentist appointment.  So right after that, we headed to my parents' house.  It was a long day.  But we made it safe and sound.
We got a call last week that Victor's visa was ready to be picked up.  So today, he made a quick trip to Houston (up at 3 am again) to pick it up.  The rest of the family's is still pending, but this is normal as the process is to issue the head-of-household and then grant the rest of the family's.  We have been given a 4-6 week time frame as to when we can expect to get ours.  So now, the anticipated date of departure is around November 1st.  We look forward to being able to spend time with our family and friends as we prepare to be gone for a few years.
I can't express enough how much your prayers mean to our family.  Thank you again for your love, prayers, and support.
